Tekton 7″ Snap Ring Pliers Review
Here I take a look at some Tekton 7″ Snap Ring Pliers I just bought.
Review
I’ve had some cheap snap ring pliers for years, and they did OK for smaller jobs, but I ran across a project with some much bigger snap rings where the old pair just wouldn’t cut it, so I did a little research and settled on these. Here’s my thoughts regarding these Tekton 7″ Snap Ring Pliers.
Upon opening up the package, inside is a well protected tool pouch with all four sets of pliers neatly contained. The tool pouch stays closed nicely with the build in Velcro. Overall, here’s some of my key observations:
- There are four sets of pliers – two for internal and two for external snap rings
- Each pair of pliers has one straight set and one 90 degree set
- All pliers are well-build, with a spring loaded, bolted connection
- The 0.07″ tips are all angled, designed to hold onto a snap ring when removing or inserting
I did a quick test with my “big snap ring” project, and found they worked great. Where my smaller snap ring pliers actually started to bend, these performed like a champ and simply did their job.
Bottom line, I give these 5 out of 5 stars, and highly recommend them. If you’re looking to buy a set and would like to support my efforts at no cost to you, please use the Amazon link below.
