Bunny Rescue

A small bunny rabbit got stuck in one of our window wells, so here’s how I got him out.

I forgot and left the cover off of one of our windows wells overnight, and lo and behold, we had a visitor! Well, I kind of didn’t want to traumatize the thing by grabbing it by hand, so decided to try and build him a ladder. First try was a simple 2×4, which didn’t impress him. Next, I nailed some small cleats to another 2×4, and this almost worked, though he couldn’t quite make it out using this. Finally, I got some larger 2x4s and nailed them to a third 2×4, arranging them all in a “grand staircase” and by golly, we finally got the little guy out of there!
