Everbilt/Jackel Sewage Sump Lid Cover Review
Here I take a quick look at out new sewage sump lid cover – it’s labeled as an Everbilt, but has many parts listed as Jackel, so guessing they’re one and the same
Review
We needed a new cover for our sewage sump, as I was adding a new pump. As such, I picked up this one from a local big box store to give a try. It’s labeled as an Everbilt, but many of the parts show Jackel, so guessing it’s just been rebranded. Anyway, here’s what I found.
Upon opening up the package, (Model: SF2000E) everything came in plastic bags – here’s what was inside:
- The cover is made of heavy duty plastic
- The two main pipe entrances had the 2″ pipe adapters installed
- 1-1/2″ pipe adapter
- Hardware kit
- Lid seal
- Cord entrance
- A couple of other pipe adapters (one 3″ & one 4″)
Installation was very simple – basically just bolted down to the existing pit. I did have a problem with the old lid attachments seizing up to some of the threaded inserts, so had to buy some new inserts, but that really wasn’t a problem with the new lid. Sealing up each of the pipes and the cord was a snap.
Bottom line, I give this 5 out of 5 stars, as it seems to be well thought out, well built, and includes several additional pipe size options. I do recommend it, so if you’re looking to buy, you can find one here:
