KitchenAid Refrigerator Filter Change

Here I change out the water filter in our KitchenAid refrigerator model KSCS25FVMS01, filter PurePlus RFC6600A.

Summary:

Every six months or so, our KitchenAid (KSCS25FVMS01) refrigerator needs a new filter. We’ve been using the PurePlus RFC6600A’s with good success. Pretty straightforward, but more details are below. Note any links are for Amazon – feel free to buy through them if you’d like to support my efforts.

Detailed Description:

  • I lay down a small towel in front of the fridge since things do drip a bit doing the changeout
  • To remove the old filter, simply press the button right next to the round filter and it pops out
  • The cap is attached to the end of the filter with a bayonet mount – it come off with a twist
  • Place the cap on the new filter
  • Getting the new filter oriented in the same direction, push it all the way into the hole – it should snap it.
  • And…that’s it!
