HOW I STARTED VLOGGING<\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\"\"Vlogging…who would have thunk?!?!?\u00a0 I’ve always been a tech kind of guy – what working in telecommunications for over 35 years does to you, I suppose.\u00a0 But not just that, since as early as I can remember, I was building things, exploring technology, fixing broken stuff…the list goes on and on.<\/p>

\u00a0 So when I retired a couple years back, I wondered what I would do to stay creative, stay engaged in new things, and so on.\u00a0 So here we are, I’m putting out there just about anything and everything I seem to do on almost a daily basis (I plan to post maybe once a week).\u00a0 One day I might be doing some maintenance on one of our cars, the next working on finishing our basement, then the next, I might be fixing an electronic issue on some random device I have around the house.\u00a0 If you think you might find this journey interesting, by all means, come along for the ride – I’m sure it’ll be fun…!<\/p>

\u00a0 And what’s my background?\u00a0 Well, I grew up on the front range of Colorado in the 60’s & 70’s, ending up at CU Boulder to get my engineering and business degrees.\u00a0 Got married in the midst of running what turned out to be a failing business at the end of the 80’s, then started a family.\u00a0 I had a real job working for a government agency doing telecommunications engineering, handling millions of dollars worth of projects.\u00a0 Meanwhile I went back to school part time to get my masters in Telecommunications.\u00a0 All quite interesting, but meanwhile I also had a growing list of hobbies, from woodworking to stamp and coin collecting, to computers and auto mechanics.\u00a0 I soon added basement finishing, landscaping as well as metalwork to the list – all just part of the journey I suppose.\u00a0 So yeah, this thing will probably range far and wide, but that’s just how my interests are.<\/p>

So one last thing – I’ve always had the philosophy that there’s almost always more than one way to do just about everything.\u00a0 I’ll show you how I do things, and if you have a novel or better way to do something, feel free to share, but I don’t plan to get into any deep philosophical discussions about the best way to do something.\u00a0 Anyway, hold on for the ride!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
